So Much To Do This Weekend!
With so much to do this weekend, where should you start? Our suggestion: kick off the holiday weekend with dozens of bands performing live on the Belvedere for Abbey Road on the River. The event runs through Monday night with more than 60 bands playing on nine stages.
Then head towards Frankfort Avenue and jump on the Trolley. The F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop runs from 6 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
For a good laugh, head straight to the Improv at Fourth Street Live! Orlando Jones takes the stage Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20.
Saturday night will bring rock fans down to the KFC Yum! Center to see Nickelback, Bush, Seether and My Darkest Days. Tickets are still available and range from $59.50 to $77.50 on Ticketmaster.
Michael Franti & Spearhead return to Louisville, this time at Headliners Music Hall. The show starts at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $25. Ages 18 and over.
Here’s an idea to really kick the summer off with the flavor of the islands: head down to the Water Tower for the Kentucky Reggae Festival. You’ll find live music, ethnic food and a Carribean market Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Tickets before 6 p.m. are $7 and after 6 p.m. are $10. Kids ages 10 and under are free. Parking is also free.
The Louisville Bats take on Indy Saturday and Sunday, and then Syracuse on Monday. Saturday and Sunday’s games are at 6:05 p.m. and Monday’s first pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m.
Get your family up early on Memorial Day to take part in the Mayor’s Hike, Bike and Paddle. The Healthy Hometown event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at Waterfront Park.
