Live It Up This Weekend in Louisville

Derby may be over, but that doesn’t mean we’re at a loss for things to do this weekend in Louisville.  In fact, you’ve got a lot of options.  Here are our suggestions:

For some All-American Family Fun, why not take in a ballgame?  The Louisville Bats are in action against Lehigh Valley Friday at 6:35 p.m., Saturday at 6:05 p.m. and Sunday at 2:05 p.m. at Slugger Field.  Tickets are $6 – $21.  Another option for the kiddos: Lyle the Crocodile.  The show is at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts Saturday with show times of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.75

Need a good laugh?  You’ve got choices. Actor and comedian Bill Cosby is at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts Saturday night.  Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show start at $42.75.  Comedian Greg Fitzsimmons has shows Friday and Saturday night at the Louisville Improv at Fourth Street Live!.  Tickets are $17. The Jewish Community Center’s CenterStage production of The Full Monty is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $18.

Are you craving some tunes?  All American Rejects with special guests A Rocket to the Moon play at Expo Five Saturday at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $20.  Across town at Headliners, Christina Perri also takes the stage.  Sleeping at Last will open the sold out show Saturday night at 8 p.m.  Also Saturday, Bridge 19 is throwing a CD release party to celebrate its new album “The Fall Back.”  The cost is $10 at the Kentucky Center East Room and Bar.  Sunday, take mom to see Bonnie Raitt at the Kentucky Center.  Mark Cohn will also take the stage.  The concert is at 7 p.m.  Tickets start at $54.50.

Don’t forget about Mom! Sunday is Mother’s Day, so make sure you treat mom like a queen! You know she’d enjoy spending some quality family time, whether that be at a Bats game, laughing at a Bill Cosby joke, or watching Bonnie Raitt.  Another option? Brunch at RIVUE Restaurant & Lounge.  It includes a gift for mom. Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Adults – $49 Children under 10 – $19 Children 3 and younger – FREE Reservations: 502-568-4239.
