Top Jockeys to Attend Derby Party at Galt House Hotel

More than 40 jockeys attended the 2011 party that raised $60,000 for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund. This year, you can expect to see many of the same faces that include Hall of Famers and Kentucky Derby Winners.

Galt House Hotel’s Night of … One Race, One Winner, One Party is the place to rub elbows with some horseracing legends.  That includes Hall of Fame jockeys like Pat Day, Jean Cruguet and Ron Turcotte, as well as Kentucky Derby-winning jockeys.  In 2011, the Kentucky Derby-winning jockey, trainer and owners attended this spectacular party.

This year, Galt House Hotel hopes to raise $100,000 for Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, with the help of some hot auction items.  Those include a guitar signed by country star Toby Keith, as well as an autographed Red Solo Cup.  Racing fans will also be interested in a jockey boot signed by all the jockeys in the 138th Kentucky Derby, and a jockey silk signed by the jockeys who rode in the 2011 Breeders’ Cup.

The Derby night party is your chance to unwind and let loose.  You’ll enjoy a fantastic gourmet dinner and open top-shelf bar, followed by the sounds of one of the hottest party bands in the country: Party on the Moon.  The band has played at Donald Trump’s New Year’s Eve parties, as well as President Obama’s Inauguration.  The fashion ranges from designer jeans to ballgowns.   For more information, click here.
